Kitchen remodeling in Loveland

A kitchen is cabinetry, worktops and trim, which is carpentry, plus the trades that hang off it. Elevated Carpentry builds the parts made of wood and runs the rest around them, across Loveland and Northern Colorado.

A whole-home remodel

Opened up, refitted and refloored

The wall between the kitchen and the living space came out, so the island now does the dividing. Shaker cabinetry, granite worktops, mosaic backsplash and new plank flooring run right through the house.

What we would say first

Where does the money actually go?

Cabinetry, then labour, then worktops. Appliances and tile feel like the big decisions because they are the ones you shop for, but they are rarely what moves the total.

The other thing worth settling early is whether you are moving plumbing or electrics. Keeping the sink and the run of the units where they are can be the difference between a few weeks of work and a project.

Taking a wall out, as in the kitchen above, is usually the change people are happiest with afterwards. It is also the one that needs thinking about first, because it is structural.

The things people ask first

Where does the money actually go in a kitchen remodel?

Cabinetry, then labour, then worktops. Appliances and tile feel like the big decisions because they are the ones you shop for, but they are rarely what moves the total.

Does moving the plumbing or electrics cost more?

Yes, and it is worth settling early. Keeping the sink and the run of the units where they are can be the difference between a few weeks of work and a much larger project.

Can you take a wall out between the kitchen and the living room?

Often yes, and it is usually the change people are happiest with afterwards. It is also the one that needs thinking about first, because it is structural.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchens run three to six weeks on site once the cabinetry has arrived, depending on scope and whether anything structural moves.

Do you make the cabinetry?

Max is a carpenter, so the cabinetry, worktop fitting and trim are his own trade. The rest of the job runs around that.

Which towns do you remodel kitchens in?

Loveland and Fort Collins mostly, and across Northern Colorado around them.

The cabinetry and trim are the same trade as finish carpentry and custom trim, and the whole job is on recent projects across Northern Colorado.

Next step

Ask what your kitchen would take.

A photo of the room and a rough idea of what you want changed is enough for a real conversation about scope.
